Pedro G. Acevedo is a Scrum Master and project manager at Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Puerto Rico. Using Scrum and Kanban methodologies, he manages development and maintenance for several applications that support the company's server manufacturing operations.
Shortly after obtaining his undergraduate degree, Pedro took two years off from work to be a full-time volunteer missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Even though it was not software development work, he credits that experience with being his first real taste of the challenges that come with leading without formal authority. After his mission, Pedro worked briefly as a web developer before transitioning to database and report development.
Pedro earned his bachelor's degree in computer science from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and his master's degree in IT project management from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He is an Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
